Государственное учреждение Республиканский научно-практический центр «Кардиология» является головным специализированным научным и лечебно-профилактическим центром, обеспечивающим организацию и оказание высокотехнологичной кардиологической и кардиохирургической помощи населению Республики Беларусь и иностранным гражданам. Высокий профессионализм, современная постоянно совершенствуемая  клиническая база, собственные научные разработки  позволяют проводить полноценное обследование  и высокотехнологичное лечение кардиологических и кардиохирургических пациентов с отличным результатом в минимальные сроки.
РНПЦ «Кардиология» удостоен престижных наград международного уровня за значительный вклад в развитие кардиологии и трансплантологии, за разработку и использование современных медицинских технологий и методов диагностики и лечения.

В структуре Центра функционируют 4 отделов, 8 научных лабораторий, 9 стационарных отделений, 5 диагностических отделений, консультативно-поликлиническое отделение и образовательный центр.

Выполнено более 670 трансплантаций сердца. Первая пересадка сердца в Республике Беларусь осуществлена бригадой врачей-специалистов под руководством академика Ю.П. Островского в 2009 году.

В Центре освоены новые виды операционных вмешательств: проведение симультанных и гибридных операций при комплексных заболеваниях (одномоментная операция сразу на трех сосудистых регионах: реваскуляризация миокарда, протезирование брюшной аорты и бедренно-подколенное аутошунтирование); эндоваскулярная имплантация аортального клапана (TAVI) с использованием современных моделей клапанов (Medtronic Evolut R, Edwards Sapien 3, Abott Portico); имплантация стволовых клеток в миокард левого желудочка сердца по данным электромеханического картирования пациентам с тяжелой степенью сердечной недостаточности (технология NOGA); эндоваскулярная пластика митрального клапана с использованием системы MitraClip. Разработана система для аортального стентграфта для хирургического лечения аневризм аорты.
Специалисты Центра постоянно проходят профессиональные международные стажировки в ведущих мировых медицинских учреждениях Европы, США и Азии.

Центр является клинической базой кафедры кардиохирургии Института повышения квалификации и переподготовки кадров здравоохранения УО «БГМУ».
На базе РНПЦ «Кардиология» создан и функционирует Образовательный центр, который осуществляет качественную подготовку медицинских кадров в рамках реализации образовательных программ повышения квалификации и стажировки по актуальным направлениям кардиологии с применением новейших методик профилактики, диагностики и лечения сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний.

В РНПЦ «Кардиология» развернут Ангиографический симуляционный тренинговый центр/Angiographic simulation training center. Программное обеспечение центра позволяет моделировать различные ситуационные задачи, которые можно отработать на манекене, с последующим применением полученных навыков на практике. Обучение специалистов в аналогичных симуляционных центрах является современным стандартом подготовки врача.

Для предупреждения сердечно-сосудистых катастроф необходимо не только обеспечить применение современных лечебных технологий, но сформировать у пациента устойчивые практические навыки и привычки, из которых складывается здоровый образ жизни.

RSPC "Cardiology" has received prestigious international awards for its significant contributions to the advancement of cardiology and transplantation, as well as for developing and implementing modern medical technologies, diagnostic methods, and treatment protocols.
The Center comprises 4 specialized departments, 8 research laboratories, 9 inpatient departments, 5 diagnostic units, a consultation and outpatient department, and an educational center.
The RSPC "Cardiology" hosts a Dissertation Defense Council for specialties 14.01.05 "Cardiology" and 14.01.26 "Cardiovascular Surgery". The Center trains highly qualified researchers through postgraduate and doctoral programs in these specialties, as well as clinical residency programs in cardiology, cardiac surgery, endovascular surgery, and vascular surgery.
The Republican Pulmonary Hypertension Center operates on the premises of RSPC "Cardiology".
RSPC "Cardiology" employs highly qualified medical professionals. The Center's specialists include 1 Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 9 Professors, 16 Doctors of Science, 43 Candidates of Science, and 27 Associate Professors. Among physicians, 56% hold the highest medical category and 22% hold the first category; among nursing staff, these figures are 23% and 52%, respectively. The Center's staff has been honored with the Order of Honor, the Medal for Labor Merits, and the "Excellent Healthcare Worker" honorary badge.
We perform over 4,500 heart and thoracic aorta surgeries annually, comprising 40–45% open-heart procedures, 20–25% interventions for cardiac arrhythmias, 15–20% endovascular surgeries, and 10% vascular surgeries.
To date, over 670 heart transplants have been successfully performed. The first heart transplantation in the Republic of Belarus was performed by a specialized surgical team led by Academician Yu.P. Ostrovsky in 2009.
The Center has mastered new types of surgical interventions, including simultaneous and hybrid procedures for complex multi-vascular pathologies (single-stage interventions across three vascular territories: myocardial revascularization, abdominal aortic replacement, and femoropopliteal autogenous bypass grafting); transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) using modern valve models (Medtronic Evolut R, Edwards Sapien 3, Abbott Portico); stem‑cell implantation into the left ventricular myocardium guided by electromechanical mapping in patients with severe heart failure (NOGA technology); and endovascular mitral valve repair using the MitraClip system. Additionally, a proprietary aortic stent-graft system has been developed for the surgical treatment of aortic aneurysms.
The Center's specialists regularly participate in international professional fellowships and training programs at leading medical institutions across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
Educational Activities
The Center serves as the clinical base for the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Healthcare Personnel of Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU).
The Educational Center, established at RSPC "Cardiology", delivers high-quality medical training through advanced training programs and internships. These programs focus on cutting-edge cardiology topics, incorporating the latest methods for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
The RSPC "Cardiology" hosts an Angiographic Simulation Training Center. Its advanced software enables the simulation of diverse clinical scenarios, allowing practitioners to hone their skills on high-fidelity mannequins before applying them in real-world practice. Training in such simulation centers is recognized as the modern global standard for physician education.
